A month in my mind...February 2022
Wow February came and went within the blink of an eye! We can now see the Spring bulbs coming to life and injecting that much needed splash of colour into our lives.
I hope you enjoy seeing what I got up to in February 2022, with client work, my own personal work and things that have inspired me. A lot of my time between client work has been spent working on my own re-brand and updating my website so everything is aligned.
A month in my mind…
Client Work
February has been quieter than some months, but I wouldn’t have been able to work on my business had it been super busy. I am extremely grateful for my regular clients. I still got to work on a fun Christmas promotional piece, social media tiles static and animated. I am thoroughly enjoying learning more about ways to bring animation into Social Media content.

Illustrations (doodles), Personal Work
Re-brand complete :)
I have now completed my re-brand and have also updated my website. I have spent time writing and re-writing my name out. Sketched leaves and other marks that I knew I wanted to form part of my new branding.
What the illustrations represent:
Curvy lines: Flow and the sea
Dots: Spray from the sea and seeds to be planted
Leaves: Changing seasons.
Colours:
Green: Growth | Yellow: Nurture | Pink: Flourish
Learning
I have been learning to use a new app called Life Lapse… my first creation was this simple Valentine’s tile. A little bit of fun :)
Playing
I have been playing with ideas for a personal project called ’Pot me Up’. I am still undecided whether I will make it into a small sideline business or purely for my own enjoyment of creating all the branding and styling for it.

What makes me tick
I love keeping notes of things that excite, inspire and set my world on fire, whether thats a magazine designed beautifully, podcasts, beautiful packaging, or a colour that catches my eye.
Below are things that inspired me last month.
Left image: The unusual shapes and style of Alina Tang’s vases are absolutely brilliant and bursting with colour and pure joy. I cannot wait to purchase a wall vase soon.
Middle image: Podcasts are not something I can listen to while I am working as I totally forget what people are talking about, I tend to listen to Podcasts when I am out walking. I follow The Good Ship Illustration on Instagram but had never taken the time to listen to their Podcast. It is like being part of a conversation with friends chatting all things illustration and full of fab tips.
Right image: Spring and Autumn are my favourite season’s. The shoots offer so much hope of what’s to come. The new Spring flowers make me want to carve sometime out to do some drawing.
